Education and Specialty
Shellina Jenkins is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. She earned her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Georgia State University. Shellina attended Fort Valley University for her graduate program of study; she holds a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Counseling Psychology.
Shellina is a diverse counselor and therapist who has worked with men, women, and children in a variety of settings. She uses therapeutic services in correctional and substance abuse facilities, drug court and foster care. Shellina formerly served in a position of leadership as the Director of Mental Health for one of the largest correctional facilities in Georgia. Shellina's skills and experience also includes facilitating workshops on suicide prevention and working with women experiencing domestic violence.

Shellina holds a membership affiliation with the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia.
Adolescents and Adult Medical Services
Shellina's philosophy on behavioral change is role modeling-teaching and practicing with clients to encourage positive thoughts and behaviors. She utilizies a combination of therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of clients which include but are limited to: Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Client Centered Therapy. Shellina is well versed in working with adults and offers individual, group and family counseling to help manage the following conditions:
