LaToyia Jackson is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined Georgia Behavioral Health Professionals in March 2018. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Southwestern State University in 2011. In 2015, she enrolled in Clayton State University and obtained her Advanced Practice Nursing degree. LaToyia will be attending Maryville University in the fall to obtain her Post Graduate Psychiatric Mental Health degree.
LaToyia worked as a Registered Nurse from 2011-2017, during this time she worked in numerous departments such as the Critical Care Unit, Emergency Department, Mental Health and Cardiovascular Care Unit. She has provided high quality care to people across their lifespan with different conditions and comorbidity from infants, children, pregnant women, and elderly adults. LaToyia provides medication management to indivduals suffering from depression, anxiety, bipolar etc. She is a member of the following professional organizations:
- American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
- Honor Society of Leadership and Success
- Honor Society of Nursing
- United Advanced Practice Registered Nurse of Georgia
LaToyia uses compassion and consideration to provide comprehensive behavioral healthcare to patients and their families in need. She demonstrates ethical competence, advanced advocacy, and leadership to improve and effect change in professional psychiatric mental health delivery.
LaToyia enjoys spending time with her family and friends along with traveling as much as possible. She is very outgoing and likes attending activities such as movies, concerts, and museums.
