Dr. Sotus-Nawar's focus is the establishment of a strong therapeutic working relationship to develop assessments and treatment plans in alliance with her clients and their recovery goal. Her experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry grounds her practice, assisting individuals with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia spectrum. Dr. Sotus-Nawar feels particularly grateful in her work with the LGBTQ+ individuals as an ally and fellow learner. Dr. Sotus-Nawar enjoys mentoring, currently teaching Emory Medical students and has supervised fellow psychiatrists and advanced level practitioners in her past roles. Dr. Sotus-Nawar, a native of Atlanta, enjoys spending time with friends and family exploring the areas parks, museums, and theaters. Periodic visits to beautiful Savannah and the low country enrich her life. She is a proud mom of three grown children, living all over the US and "fur mom" to two rescue pups.
