Belinda is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies with a double minor in Psychology and Sociology from Indiana-Purdue University, an Early Childhood Education Certification from Ivy Tech College, IN and her Master’s Degree from Argosy University Atlanta, GA School of Community Counseling, Belinda is also a member of the License Professional Counselor Association of GA.
Belinda aims to create an environment of trust and compassion that is conducive to healing, growth, and empowerment. Belinda is passionate about helping others on their journey to self-awareness and believes once an individual recognizes their strengths and capabilities the sky is the limit. Belinda expresses a deep compassion for those in need of an advocate. Belinda has wide-ranging experience providing in-home community-based therapy to youth and the adult population. Belinda has worked with a variety of mental health populations to include Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), children & adolescents in foster care, adults with co-occurring disorders, and families in underserved areas with minimal resources. Belinda has extensive experience with adolescents, young adults and adults using approaches that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Parent-Child Interactive Therapy, and other therapeutic approaches to help clients achieve a sense of relief and satisfaction through life’s difficulties.
