Brandi is a licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology (emphasis in Sociology) from Georgia Southern University and her Master of Social Work degree from Valdosta State University. She has worked with children and their families in a variety of settings for over 15 years. The settings include in-home settings, mental health hospitals, residential facilities and most recently in dialysis centers where patients battle chronic illness. Brandi specializes in various areas of trauma to include working with people in areas of grief, sexual trauma, and chronic illness. She is experienced in providing face-to-face and tele-mental health therapy services by phone and videoconferencing.
As a therapist, Brandi strives to see the patient as an individual. She believes in building a strong therapeutic relationship with clients and meeting them where they are in their lives. Brandi believes in empowering clients to be their best self by utilizing various therapeutic tools. These tools are targeted to decrease feelings of depression and anxiety. The goal is to help clients increase positive coping, decrease negative thinking, and assist them with dealing with daily struggles.
Brandi has been trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy and Trauma Focused Therapy.
