Catherine Schueman is a seasoned Counselor with more than 20 years of clinical experience in substance abuse, mental health, and women’s issues. Catherine has recently completed her master’s in social work, giving clients not only the benefit of her extensive counseling background, but also the knowledge base to help clients access available community resources to ease the burden of their journey. Her broad expertise has included extensive experience with troubled teens, anger issues, women’s trauma, self-esteem, and assisting individuals reentering society from the Criminal Justice system. Catherine is compassionate and caring and always seeks to see the individual for their story, not allowing them to be defined by their situation. To Catherine no individual is embodied by their diagnosis. She has worked with individuals who had no other options, who now lead successful lives using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, with her caring approach to the individual person. Catherine believes that change happens when people are given the support, they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential for living fulfilling happy lives. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis with her ALTA league, boating on the water and spending time with her fur baby Lilly the Labradoodle. She is also active in the community with the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce.
