Provider type: Psychologist
I am often asked by others, when they find out my profession, why I chose psychology as a career. In thinking about that topic, I often reply that when I first meet someone I tend to view or conceptualize people like new or beautiful paintings to be understood and enjoyed. Despite having looked and studied them from various angles, there is always something new to discover and learn if you only look at them in a new light or at an angle. A change in perspective can make a great difference in how we view someone else, ourselves, or our situation.
