About Christy McWaters, LPC, CMAC

Christy McWaters is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia who has been practicing since 2014. Christy has experience in many different areas in helping clients, but just to name a few areas are stress, anxiety, coping with addictions, trauma and abuse, and anger management. She believes in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and Christy is proud of you for getting started! She will tailor your dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Christy puts a strong emphasis on building rapport to strengthen the therapeutic relationship to create a safe and comfortable environment. As you move along in your counseling journey with her you can expect to get the support you need through the whole process. Outside of work, Christy enjoys spending time with family and friends. She engages in self-care in many ways, but just to name a few she loves going to the lake, traveling, sleeping, and most of all playing roller derby with a local league.
