Dr. Ragazino joined Georgia Behavioral Health in July 2019 upon completing his psychiatry residency at Emory University. During his time at Emory, Dr. Ragazino found himself drawn to working with patients with depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Prior to entering the field of medicine, Dr. Ragazino spent 12 years in the business world, working in both consulting and corporate banking. Dr. Ragazino is also a U.S. Army Veteran and a father.
While Dr. Ragazino’s life experiences have been enriching, they have also exposed him to many of the same struggles we all face. This has given Dr. Ragazino an appreciation for the fact that psychological and emotional challenges tend to be complicated and are often linked to a number of biological, psychological, and social factors. As such, Dr. Ragazino’s philosophy is to implement a multi-faceted approach that not only involves medication, but also leverages non-pharmacological interventions such as therapy, general health and wellness, and ongoing personal growth. Dr. Ragazino seeks to help his patients to not only reduce symptoms, but to experience more fulfillment and happiness in their lives.
