Provider type: Therapist
Serving: Adult
Erin has a wide range of experience including individual, group, couples, and family therapy in outpatient and inpatient settings. Her current focus is working with individuals and believes the relationship developed between patient and therapist is the most important tool of therapy. She works with patients in meeting their therapeutic goals through the use of encouragement, education, and compassionate and empathetic challenges. Erin recognizes the work of therapy does not begin and end in the therapist's office and, therefore, uses homework assignments and other measures of accountability for practicing the tools of therapy in daily activities and relationships.
Erin is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). In 2009, she obtained her Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from Georgia State University and held her certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) for 10 years. She began her counseling career in August, 2009 at Ridgeview Institute where she served as Case Manager/Program Therapist providing partial and intensive outpatient services to psychiatric and addiction patients and their family members. She has been licensed as a Professional Counselor since 2013.
Prior to her career in counseling, Erin utilized her Bachelors of Business Administration from University of Georgia working as a contract employee at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She left her position with the CDC to pursue her passion of equipping and empowering people to live healthier, happier lives.
