Heather is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and young adults coping with conditions such as: psychogenetic non-epileptic events, functional neurological disorders, headaches/migraines, other psychosomatic symptoms, anxiety, depression, and school issues. Heather takes a direct, practical approach as a psychotherapist to help achieve goals. She offers individual and family support using a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Health (CBT), strengths based therapy and mindfulness based therapy.
Heather was born and raised in Indiana. She attended Ball State University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Afterwards, she moved to Georgia with her husband. They quickly fell in love with the south and decided to make it their home. Heather taught in the Georgia Public School system. Then she attended Valdosta State University and earned her Master's Degree in Social Work. Heather has been practicing as a Social Worker for ten years and as an LCSW for five. She currently resides in Sandy Springs with her husband of 15 years and two children.
