Janelle is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Janelle has gained a range of experience providing therapy for individuals and families working through substance abuse, trauma, couple and martial issues, and mental health disorders within the community, hospitals, and outpatient settings.
Janelle developed her theoretical approach based on the belief that change occurs when a person is able to understand and express their emotions as well as understand how they have formed their cognitive framework. When engaging in therapy, Janelle uses methods and techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT).
She graduated from Mercer University earning a Master's degree in Family Therapy in 2015.
Janelle graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into the honors society Phi Kappa Phi during her time in graduate school. Janelle also gained membership into Alpha Kappa Alpha while pursuing her undergraduate studies.
Janelle is licensed by the Georgia State Board of Licensed Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists. Janelle is a former member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
