About Jihene Ayadi, LPC

Jihene is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Supervisor in the State of Georgia. She received her Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA and earned her Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR. Jihene is also a National Certified Counselor and an Approved Clinical Supervisor with the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). She is also a Certified EMDR provider.

Jihene has nearly 13 years of experience in the mental health arena to include clinical work, supervision, collegiate teaching, as well as training and development. Her clinical experience includes working with college students, young adults, adults, and couples. As well as multicultural families to address their mental health concerns, behavioral issues, social skills.

Jihene enjoys working with diverse population on various mental health issues such as stress, the different types of anxiety, depression, bipolar, PTSD in first responders, academic and career performances, relationships and infidelity concerns, and multicultural issues.

Jihene guides her clients in developing coping skills and setting their personal goals while working towards change, growth, building their resilience and self-awareness. Being a therapist and an educator with a multi-lingual background gives her a unique understanding of other cultures as well as the challenges people face in today’s complex world.

Jihene currently provides services to adolescents, adults, and couples. She uses a collaborative and integrative counseling approach based on techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Jihene also uses creative techniques in sessions tailored to each client’s needs such as movement, art-based activities, mindfulness, role-play, etc. She believes that counseling is a safe and non-judgmental space for her clients to express their thoughts and feelings. Therefore, she places an emphasis on building a positive therapeutic relationship to help her clients achieve their goals for therapy.
