Her experience includes working with adolescents and adults with various presenting concerns. Joanna's passionate about facilitating wellness in those with depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, and other various diagnoses. She utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach based on the client’s unique needs. Some techniques include cognitive behavioral, reality, and rational emotive behavior therapies.
She earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University in 2010. Since that time, she has worked in various clinical settings including private practice, crisis stabilization, and assertive community treatment. Joanna also possesses a vast experience serving students of various ages and backgrounds in a higher education setting. She has been a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia for 10 years.
