Provider type: Therapist
I am an Afro-Dominican, trauma-informed bilingual therapist who enjoys working with a variety of clients. As a trained family therapist, I enjoy working with family issues, adults, and teens ages 15-19. I am committed to assisting families and individuals with breaking cycles of generational dysfunctions and learning healthy coping strategies that can help them manage their present struggles. I have extensive experience working with adults and adolescents with trauma, depression, and anxiety. I also specialize in helping women with improving their self-esteem and creating a solid sense of self.
I use a holistic integrative approach; I combine different models and tools from various psychotherapy schools to affirm the inherent value of each individual. As part of treatment, not only do I pay attention to habits, behaviors and emotions but also my client's nutritional and spiritual health.
I believe that therapy is a joint effort where clients are given the opportunity to tap into their deeper inner wisdom.
I obtained a Master's of Science in Marriage and Family from Mercy College. I also have a Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice from Monroe college.
