Judi's desire to become a counselor came from years of being an adoption paralegal and gaining a compassion for a misunderstood and often misjudged population. She continued to work with a similar population and completed her clinicals in a jail moving towards counseling in the homes of urban communities. It was here that she worked with children, teenagers', and broken families. Additionally, she facilitated classes teaching families parenting skills and appropriate discipline. As Judi worked in these settings, she learned that building rapport is not only valuable but easy when you take a genuine concern for your clients.
