The choice to begin therapy is a significant decision and one that I do not take lightly. It is an honor for me to work with my clients in healing and growing through our therapeutic process.
I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work from Baylor University and a Master of Science in Social Administration with a Clinical focus from Case Western Reserve University where I completed with Accelerated Advanced Standing. I have practiced in Ohio, New York, Virginia, and Illinois before settling in Georgia. I have enjoyed being a therapist for over 30 years.
In addition to supporting clients facing depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder and bipolar disorder, I also specialize in working with clients struggling with codependency, dysfunctional relationships, grief and loss, infertility and pregnancy loss, antepartum and postpartum mood disorders (anxiety and depression during pregnancy and after birth), life transitions, and personality disorders. I have a special interest and training in working with the family members and adult children of individuals struggling with addiction.
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) as evidence-based treatment methods with my clients. I am passionate about approaching the therapeutic dynamic as a collaboration and a partnership with my clients to help them live the life they want to live.
