Provider type: Therapist
Serving: Adult, Child and Adolescent, Geriatric
Hello! I’m Maudesta, a Licensed Professional Counselor who is dedicated and passionate about supporting all my clients through their life struggles and challenges to experience growth and healing in their lives. I work with issues such as anxiety, career issues, coping skills, depression, family conflict, grief, life transitions, military, parenting, relationship issues, stress, trauma, and PTSD. My approach is person-centered, and I also draw from approaches like Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based (MCBT) modalities. My goal is to walk the path with you and provide the support you need to get to the other side.
I'm an active listener who listens without judgment. I will give you the space to share your experiences and perspectives while working to understand your worries/concerns and help you clarify your uncertainties. I will offer you understanding by providing feedback, sharing empathy, observations, humor, feelings, silence, and providing information.
The path to a better life can feel intimidating or daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. My goal as your therapist will be to invite you into each session and work together, so that you leave better than you arrived and feel more optimistic. Positive change is possible. If you think we might be a good fit, please reach out today!
