Melissa Macdonald is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that joined the Georgia Behavioral Health Professionals group in May 2018.
She earned her Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. As apart of her practicing, Melissa completed Emotionally Focused Therapy Core Skills Training.
She has been in practice since 2008 and has provided therapeutic services in a variety of clinical treatment settings including: inpatient psychiatry and detox, residential substance abuse facilities, and private practices. Currently, Melissa provides individual and couples therapy services for adolescent and adult patients.
Melissa enjoys working with individuals of all gender identifications and sexual preferences (LGBTQ community). She specializes in Martial or Relationship Distress, Substance Abuse and Process addictions, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, self-awareness, and personal growth.
