Dr. Michael J. Credidio is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Georgia. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Adelphi University, New York, in 1994, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and he procured his Doctorate of Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology-Chicago Campus in 2000. Dr. Credidio first gained experience in the field of psychological testing at The Cook County Department of Corrections in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his internship at Clayton Mental Health Center where he provided a battery of assessments for children and adolescents, provided individual therapy, co-lead substance abuse groups, and co-facilitated a cancer support group. Dr. Credidio’s primary passion is in the field of psychological evaluations. Since 2001, Dr. Credidio has provided psychological evaluations and assessments referred by psychiatrists, pediatricians, primary care physicians, Department of Family and Children Services, the courts, and Department of Juvenile Justice to assist in diagnostic and treatment planning. He has conducted parental/custody evaluations, violence/suicide risk assessments, and psychological testing to assess a wide range of emotional and behavioral difficulties. Dr. Credidio is highly trained in the evaluation/treatment of childhood and adult ADHD, pediatric bipolar disorder, childhood depression, anxiety disorders in children, child/adult obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, adult mood, anxiety, and personality disorders, PTSD, oppositional defiant disorder, suicide risk, substance use, and learning disabilities, as well as being trained in parental assessments and bariatric evaluations. Dr. Credidio currently provides psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults that include ADHD assessments, testing for mood/anxiety/OCD disorders, learning disability evaluations, bariatric evaluations, trauma assessments, suicide/violence risk assessments, personality testing, parental fitness evaluations, and drug/alcohol assessments. Outside of work, Dr. Credidio enjoys spending time with his family, church, traveling, hockey, entertainment (e.g., movies and music), and bowling.
