Michael strives to meet clients where they are. He helps the client navigate through their past to help with a better understanding toward how to achieve goals for a happier healthier life. Michael has extensive training and experience working with blended families, couples, military families, impoverished families, and men struggling with anger and anxiety. Due to his own interpersonal struggles with parental dynamics, he can provide a level of personal and professional understanding in addition to a great deal of empathy when counseling his clients through such difficult times.
Michael’s educational training is primarily trauma focused, which means your thoughts and behaviors will be a focus in the therapy process. Additionally, Michael is innovative in his approach in order to meet the individual needs of his clients. He believes exploring your emotions and feelings is of utmost importance. The ultimate goal of counseling would be to gain self-awareness into what is disturbing you, explore and understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors; to seek a greater sense of happiness and contentment; and for you to choose and maintain behavioral changes.
