Dr. Ophelia’s practice settings have included corrections, military, hospital, college, mental health agency, and private practice. She has worked with adolescences and adults experiencing ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, grief and loss, anger issues, schizophrenia and personality disorders. She specializes in PTSD, anxiety, and panic attacks.
Dr. Ophelia utilizes an integrative approach to therapy. Her primary treatment approach is client-centered therapy. Trauma informed evidenced based care is useful in her work with clients experiencing trauma, grief and loss. Additionally, she utilizes cognitive behavior therapy, family systems, and attachment-style approaches in therapy with individuals, couples and families who are experiencing distress in their interpersonal relationships. Ophelia has traveled to several countries and states for more than 20 years as a military spouse with her now retired veteran husband. She has a special interest in working with individuals and couples from the military population.
