Patrice Barnhill is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who joined the Georgia Behavioral Health Professionals group in April 2018, and is currently seeing patients at our Decatur and Stockbridge locations. Patrice also renders telemedicine services at our Warner Robins location. Prior to starting with GBHP, Patrice worked in a pediatric primary care setting, where she cared for patients with acute and chronic health conditions, as well as provided preventative care, mental health and developmental screenings. She has always been the most passionate in her care of children and adolescents with mental health concerns.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from the University of Georgia, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Emory University. Patrice furthered her education with her Master of Science in Nursing from Emory University.
Patrice received her license from the Georgia Composite Medical Board and is board-certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. While in school, Patrice enjoyed participating in medical trips aboard where she worked with underprivileged populations at local clinics. She gained experience working with children with physical and mental health needs, and their families, to provide health care services and improve quality of care. Patrice works closely in collaboration with her supervising physician, Dr. Piyush Patel, providing medication management to children and adolescents from ages 6-21. Patrice sees patients struggling with a variety of mental health disorders, including ADD/ADHD, mood disorders, depression, anxiety disorders, sleep disorders and more.
