About Rachel Jackman, LAPC

Rachel Jackman is a Psychiatrist in Georgia who has been practicing since 2020. She graduated with her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. How we think can greatly affect our emotions. Rachel utilizes CBT to help clients with changing their thoughts to something more positive. She also teaches clients about various DBT techniques, which can help us in several ways. These techniques can help us in a current emotional crisis to calm down enough to think clearly or stop us from being stuck on past or possible future difficulties. It’s about being in the present, in this moment. These two theories are a great fit for people with difficulties with emotion regulation such as anxiety or anger management, and depression. Outside of work, Rachel loves reading. Her current goal is 52 books by the end of the year. She is a mom to a very energetic 4-year-old who just started preschool and has 2 cats and 2 dogs. Before her son, she was a pretty big gamer and enjoyed multiple different MMORPG games!
