Richard Spivey is a Marriage and Family Therapist who has been practicing since 2021. He graduated from Mercer University in Macon Georgia with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Richard believes that in order to be a good therapist he must rely on the patient to help design effective treatment options. He believes that the patient is the only person that can determine if treatment is working so he sees providing therapy as a combined effort between the therapist and the patient. Richard has focused in the past on treating patients that are living with depression and anxiety as well as grief and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Richard has also treated some patients who live with Schizophrenia as well as married and committed couples that are navigating difficult circumstances. Richard and his wife also work with some animal rescue groups as they both love animals. Richard likes to spend some of his free time travelling as well.
