Roma’s therapeutic style involves Person-Centered approach. She builds on a client’s strengths while incorporating evidenced-based interventions like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques. These techniques can help the client arrive at insight, strategies, and tools that they can start incorporating immediately to make positive change in their lives.
She believes in strong client/therapist relationships, evidenced based interventions, and an appreciation for diversity. As a clinician, she believes in the importance to see each person as an individual, using a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach. She is a strong proponent that one size does not fit all and treatment planning is a joint effort between client and clinician.
Roma's work experience includes hospitals, outpatient, and counseling settings. She has successfully worked with youth, adults and senior citizen populations. Roma is particularly interested in working with a diverse population. Roma is fluent in Hindi and understands Urdu & Punjabi.
