Shannon has experience working with clients of various ages and backgrounds with diagnoses including psychotic and personality disorders. Her passion is in trauma, and she has training and experience in trauma and related symptoms. Some of her experience comes from being an Intensive Family Intervention team leader, facilitating a trauma group for combat veterans diagnosed with PTSD and from being a lead therapist in a specialized program in the prison system for those that self-injured. Shannon is a patient counselor who loves humor and believes that everyone has worth. She believes that there are reasons for a person's behavior, and that it is humbling to be allowed to be with someone on his or her journey to better mental health. Shannon is a fan of college football and professional soccer. She enjoys reading, listening to a variety of music genres and spending time outside, especially at the beach.
