About Simran Brar, MD

Simran works with individuals who are looking to gain insight into themselves and improve their quality of life. She seeks to understand each individual holistically, including their backgrounds and the strengths they already possess to provide an individualized approach. Simran believes that establishing a strong alliance with her clients is essential to getting the most out of therapy and creating lasting change. Through this alliance, she partners with her clients to explore and address thought and behavior patterns that serve as barriers to enjoying life fully.

Education & Certifications

Dr. Brar completed her general psychiatry residency at Morehouse School of Medicine, where she served as chief resident in her 4th year and was awarded GME and Psychiatry resident of the year. Dr. Brar went on to complete a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Indiana University. She has also completed the 2-year Core Program at Emory University Psychoanalytic Institute.
