About Tiffany Desouza, Therapist Intern

I support the use of a holistic approach to assist clients in gaining self-awareness to internal and external factors that may be causing distress. I believe a healthy combination of mental, physical, environmental, and spiritual aspects allow for positive enhancements. I believe the worker-client relationship thrives by providing empathy, grace, acceptance, and trust. Each client deserves an individualized process to support their needs. I promote an integrative approach by combining different models and therapy approaches to promote individuality. I want my clients to know they are heard, and I believe I can demonstrate that by collaborating with them on the therapeutic approach that best suits their overall functionality, health, and promotes confidence. I use a combination of Psychodynamic Theory, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I also utilize Motivational Interviewing and Family theories when applicable.
