About Yvette Quinones, Therapist Intern

Yvette is a Master of Social Work Intern and will receive her degree from Walden University in May 2022. Her approach is to meet the clients where they are and ensure the healing process leads to an improved quality of life. She works from a person-centered approach that incorporates influences from attachment and solution-focused perspectives. She collaborates with clients to identify and enlist their internal strengths and resources to approach life’s challenges. She provides a warm and supportive environment that allows clients to feel comfortable and themselves. Yvette is passionate about wellness and providing a nonjudgmental space for individuals. As a therapist intern, she aims to encourage and empower clients as they overcome life challenges and obstacles. She believes in the connection between mind, body, and spirit and the power each one possesses. Yvette has a background in working with individuals living with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and anger issues. Furthermore, she has worked with individuals who have been diagnosed with mild to severe mental health issues. She utilizes strengths-based and person-centered therapy to promote self-love and growth. Building a relationship is very important and vital to have clients establish realistic and attainable goals. Further, Yvette has additional qualifications which are Certified Addiction Counselor, Anger Management Specialist, and is Certified in Grief counseling.
